Camps/Other Summer 2010 Camps
All-skills 2-day camps for current 2nd-8th graders will be held June 1 & 2 (session #1) and June 3 & 4 (session #2) at Centennial Middle School located at 13808 S. 36th Street in Phoenix (Ahwatukee). Camps run from 8:30-12:00 noon each day. We will work on passing, setting, hitting, serving and defense. We will incorporate some different drills for these skills each session so if you want to attend more than one session you can continue individual and partner work on the same skills by utilizing different drills. You can sign up for both sets of sessions.
Specialty 1-day camps for current 4th-8th graders will be held June 14-15-16-17 also at Centennial Middle School. Camps run from 8:30-11:30am each day.
**If the player was NOT a registered USAV member for the 2009-2010 club volleyball season (i.e. DID NOT PLAY ON A USAV CLUB VOLLEYBALL TEAM), then a 2010 USAV Individual Membership Form AND a 2010 Medical Release Form both need to be completed and mailed with the camp registration. A SEPARATE CHECK FOR $15 MADE OUT TO "AZ REGION" NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED. THIS CHECK AND USAV INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP FORM WILL BE SENT BY JEN LEO TO THE REGION OFFICE. THIS IS FOR LIABILITY AND INSURANCE PURPOSES. Fill out what you can-signatures are important. DO NOT SEND THE FORMS TO THE REGION DIRECTLY.
**If you are already a registered member, please provide your club name and team name (and USAV # if you know it) as requested on the camp registration form and DO NOT send any additional paperwork or check. You are already covered through USAV.

Athletic Republic
Parents and Athletes, Coach Jen Leo and several other EVJ staff members recently visited the Athletic Republic training center in Tempe and were impressed by the level of training available at an affordable rate for motivated volleyball athletes. Athletic Republic has scheduled an Open House for Saturday, December 12th at 12:00 pm. They will be presenting their training programs, staff, and touring the facility. Jen and Athletic Republic have put together some training options to be integrated into the EVJ practice and game schedules. The files below have some details and the prices of the options. They will discuss on December 12th more specific details. Please feel free to contact them directly by email or phone should you have any questions. Thank you.
1 Year training program, 44 training sessions
Athletic Republic is the culmination of our 20 years of research and relentlessness. It's a science-based sports training system that has delivered real, quantifiable results to over 600,000 athletes! At Athletic Republic, we make only one thing: better athletes. Ever since we first started blending the science of physiology and biomechanics with sport-specific training, we've been the go to place for serious athletes. Through our science-based training protocols and patented equipment, we can improve an athlete's jumping mechanics so that they rise higher with more hang time, giving them more explosive power behind every hit. We also advance exact neurological learning and coordination to heighten functional volleyball strength and improve the ability to set, pass, serve, hit and block.
Volleyball athletes are unique and require unique training. Our sport-specific programs allow us to individualize the training to be so specific that volleyball athletes on the same team will not have the same protocols. Each athlete is required to go through our athlete assessment that will give us baseline ability to focus the training on that athlete's needs and capabilities. We will help you rise above the competition because we have risen above ours.
For more about our training please visit our website (www.athleticrepublictempe.com) or our YouTube channel listed below. Thank you.
