    ***Mini-Camps, Clinics & Specialty Training***

Typically for more advanced players (Co-Ed, 4th-12th grades), mini-camps focus on all-skills or position specific sessions. We foster a high level, fast-paced, drill and play environment for experienced players. We will separate and slow it down for the less experienced. Our experienced coaches run through specific skills training and work closely with every participant. This is a perfect opportunity to train at a high level, while getting lots of touches on the ball. Our camps feature experienced coaches, excellent training, quality player to coach ratio, multi-court facility, lots of touches on the ball and fun sessions!

Pre-Tryout Clinic - the clinic will focus on all-skills in a fast-paced, drill and play environment for returning club players. Each session will run for 1.5 hours and will cover a different set of skills each session. The training will be at an advanced level for the first hour followed by 20-30 minutes of play. Our experienced coaches will run through specific skills training in a format that it is similar to club tryouts. This is a perfect opportunity to train at a high level, while getting lots of touches on the ball in preparation for the upcoming club season.

    ***Co-Ed Youth Academy***

The Youth Academy focuses on the six basic fundamentals of volleyball (setting, passing, floor defense, serving, hitting and blocking) in a clinic style format. Through drills and repetition we provide an environment where technique, feedback and touches on the ball are key to our training. Select sessions may include specific agility training, which may include indoor and outdoor (in the sand) drills. Our Youth Academy is offered several times a year typically for 9-12 hours of training per session and is offered for multiple age groups and skill levels. See below for a brief description of the different levels offered.

  • BEGINNER/LIGHTLY EXPERIENCED - Our 1st through 6th grade Co-Ed Youth Academy invites beginner to lightly experienced players to participate in this multi-session all-skills clinic.
  • INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED - Our 4th through 8th grade Co-Ed Youth Academy invites more advanced players to participate in this multi-session all-skills clinic. Players with any level of "club experience" typically participate in this Academy.
  • ***Open Gyms***

Open gyms provide an opportunity for players who are interested in learning about our program and getting to know our coaches. The coaches will organize games for the players in a fast paced, non-instructional environment. Players can come get touches on the ball while allowing EVJ coaches to get to know them better in the event they are interested in trying out for our club.

***Juniors in the Sand (Sand Volleyball League, Camps & Clinics)***

    • Prepare and educate players to compete in sanctioned tournaments.
    • Provide an environment where players can relax and have fun playing “in the sand”.
    • While recreational, our leagues can be highly competitive and a great place for the serious player looking to work on their game to get touches on the ball in a competitive format.
    • We provide leagues, tournaments, clinics, group training and private lessons.
    • We follow USA Volleyball rules.
    • Players 10u and over are eligible to participate, according to USA Volleyball age requirements.
    • We prefer players have at least one year of competitive volleyball experience (Club, YMCA, etc.)
    • The league is not affiliated with an indoor club. Players from any indoor club are welcome to participate and compete in our league.

PLEASE NOTE – HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS PLAYING INDOOR FOR THEIR HIGH SCHOOL TEAM ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE ARIZONA INTERSCHOLASTIC ASSOCIATION (AIA):

"Girls and boys (six player) indoor volleyball and sand (two player) volleyball are considered different sports. Girls and boys (six player) volleyball utilizes rules published by the National Federation of State High School Associations. Sand (two player) volleyball utilizes rules published by the U.S. Volleyball Association. Participation in these two sports at the same time is not a violation of AIA bylaw; article 14.1 (Non School Participation rule)."
